AC Hotel | Irvine, CA

The works featured at AC Hotel Irvine aim to create a dialog of the changing boundaries of urban and agricultural, and the unlimited potential of land renewal in a city's urban core.

The 12' x 5', 3 part acrylic on wood has a large shape that depicts urban development in neighborhoods, while the background is a nod to Irvine yesterday using a dusting of a map of Irvine in the 1950's. All hand painted.

The12'x3' Porcelain installation uses imagery that is a depiction of Irvine's agriculture before it became a bustling city. There are circles in some of the pieces that represent crop circles.

The 4'x8' Acrylic on wood has a handmade built-in white washed frame. These two pieces represent the urban aspect of the project.
